Maeklong Railway Market, Thailand

Maeklong Railway Market is located in the city of Maeklong district in Samut Songkram province, 75km southwest of Bangkok. This morning market is near the Maeklong Railway Station, all market stalls are situated beside the railway. The train will stop at the Maeklong Station 8 times a day.

The unique scene in this morning market is all vendors will pull down their awnings and move all their goods away from the railway while the train is reaching the station and will put back all the goods and awnings into the same position after the train has passed through. All vendors will resume their business as usual.
